IAA - International Frankfurt Motorshow 2011

I am very happy to be able to present you this information, direct from the IAA in Frankfurt.

This image was made during the preparation of the Lotus stand, so before the first press day.

On these images you can see the introduction of the new Evora GTE, during an interview with Dany Bahar by well known BBC reporter Jake Humphrey.

Having 444 ps this is the most powerfull Lotus road car ever built.

On the right, the two big surprises of Lotus are still under cover. During the press introduction Lotus presented us:

  • The new Lotus Exige S with the powerfull 350 ps V6 engine that we already know from the Evora
  • The new Lotus Exige R-GT that will be used in WRC rally's like Monte Carlo and San Remo just to name a few. Do you remember the colors? How about the Sunbeam Lotus rally car?

This is where it happened...

Lotus Originals director Wiebke Bauer did explain to me how she is going for high quality items and materials  rather than creating just another merchandising line.

During the Frankfurt Motor Show Lotus Originals is presenting their new shop interior line. The high quality is also visable in the shop furniture that Lotus Originals has created. Solid wood, real leather as used on the steering wheels, aluminium parts.

There are several international partners interested in becomming a Lotus Originals dealer. The date for opening the first shop, in London, will probably be January 2012. At present the parties involved are filling in the details of the deal.
